Business Change Lead - Regulatory Technology Programme
West Sussex 600 - 650 Permanent
We are seeking an experienced Business Change Lead to support an ambitious 15-month transformation programme. This is a key role within a highly complex and regulated environment, where success depends not only on delivering new technology, but on ensuring the business is ready, willing and able to adopt new ways of working.
About the role
You will shape and deliver the business change approach for the programme, helping to ensure the organisation is prepared to embrace and sustain change. Working across people, process and technology, you will build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels, support leaders to champion change, and translate complex programme information into clear and meaningful communications.
You will also provide leadership, direction and coaching to a Business Change Analyst, track progress against milestones, produce reporting and recommendations, and support programme governance.

What you'll be doing
- Developing and maintaining the business change approach for the programme.
- Producing and managing change plans aligned to programme milestones and delivery timelines.
- Assessing organisational readiness for change and identifying adoption risks and mitigation actions.
- Building trusted relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
- Conducting stakeholder analysis and developing engagement plans.
- Supporting leaders to champion and sponsor change.
- Developing compelling communications and engagement activity for different audiences.
- Translating complex programme information into clear and meaningful messages.
- Providing leadership, direction and coaching to the Business Change Analyst.
- Tracking change delivery against agreed milestones and producing high-quality reporting and recommendations.
- Significant experience leading business change within large-scale transformation programmes.
- Proven success embedding people, process and technology change in complex, highly regulated environments.
- Strong stakeholder influence, communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing resistance, driving adoption and coaching change professionals.
- A self-starting, resilient and pragmatic approach, with the ability to work independently.
- Experience within utilities or other regulated industries is desirable.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and advocacy across impacted areas.
- People who are prepared, capable and confident to adopt new ways of working.
- Successful embedding of process, behavioural and cultural change alongside technology implementation.
- Change activities delivered in line with programme timelines.
- Measurable adoption and business readiness outcomes.
- Lasting capability within the business beyond programme completion.
- Location: Hybrid working (West Sussex), with travel as required.
- Employment type: Contract.
- Salary range: £600-650/day (outside of scope of IR35)
