Change Manager - FTC

We are seeking an experienced and highly hands-on Change Manager to lead business change activities across a major digital transformation programme within a complex technical and laboratory environment.This is a significant role supporting the deployment of new technology, processes and ways of working across operational teams. Success in this position will depend on building strong relationships with stakeholders, spending time with end users, understanding current ways of working, and ensuring the organisation is fully prepared to adopt change.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver the end-to-end change management strategy and plan for a major systems transformation programme.
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments, readiness assessments and adoption planning across multiple business functions.
  • Build trusted relationships with operational leaders, technical specialists and frontline teams, ensuring change activities are practical, credible and effective.
  • Lead engagement workshops and other communication activities to support change adoption.
  • Identify and manage resistance, risks and readiness challenges, providing proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Own training needs analysis and coordinate the development and delivery of training materials and end-user training programmes.
  • Create and manage programme communications, including updates, FAQs, leadership messaging and go-live communications.
  • Maintain programme collaboration and communication platforms, ensuring stakeholders have access to current and relevant information.
  • Track and report adoption, engagement and readiness metrics to programme leadership.
  • Act as a key link between programme delivery teams and end users, ensuring feedback is captured and addressed throughout the transformation journey.
Ideal Experience:
  • Proven experience delivering change management on large-scale business or technology transformation programmes.
  • Experience supporting enterprise system implementations, operational systems, digital transformation platforms or similar.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience working across operational, technical and leadership communities.
  • Demonstrable experience conducting change impact assessments, stakeholder mapping, communications planning and training activities.
  • Experience working within technical, engineering, scientific, manufacturing, laboratory or other regulated environments.
  • Ability to challenge constructively, influence senior stakeholders and build credibility with frontline teams.
  • Strong communication, facilitation and workshop leadership skills.

The ideal candidate is not a purely strategic change professional but someone who enjoys being embedded within the business, spending time with stakeholders, understanding operational realities and driving adoption on the ground.You will be comfortable moving between programme leadership discussions and frontline engagement, ensuring that change is understood, embraced and successfully embedded.

Important Requirements:
  • Must be willing and able to work on-site a minimum of 2 days per week throughout the programme without exception.
  • Must be comfortable operating in a highly visible, hands-on change role requiring regular stakeholder interaction and face-to-face engagement.
