Insurance Business Analyst
 
My client is a looking for an experienced Insurance Business Analyst to join their team to be on site with their insurance clients and be a point of contact that can demonstrate what good looks like as a Business Analyst. Insurance experience is essential.
 
Key responsibilities
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to translate business requirements into user stories and technical requirements
  • You will have oversight to manage/lead Business Analysts on a day-to-day basis both internally and with clients
  • Support internal and external delivery teams with project planning, functional and non-functional requirements, testing, reporting, implementation, and post-implementation activities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from across our clients’ business, including marketing, operations, and IT
  • Map business processes and user journeys, developing business domain models and associated documentation
  • Perform analysis of impact, feasibility, costs, and benefits.
  • Identify business risks and mitigations / control processes
  • Undertake hands-on analysis using various analytics software
  • Support business activities through the provision of analytics and insights
  • Support the continuous development and improvement of our products through provision of subject matter expertise in data and analytics
  • Write and facilitate user acceptance test (UAT) cases as required
  • Support end users in adopting functional changes (e.g. training, documentation, implementation support)
 
Skills Knowledge & Experience
  • Insurance sector experience is essential
  • Experience in Duck Creek, Guidewire beneficial
  • Excellent written and oral communication - mandatory
  • Mentoring skills for BA's and technical teams.
  • Facilitation and Stakeholder Management skills - mandatory
  • Self-starter, proactive, independently work and be responsible, able to drive progress - mandatory
  • Knowledge of Agile, Jira and confluence - desirable but not mandatory
  • User story creation, defining acceptance criteria, communicate with tech team – development and testing, defining customer journey for transactions - mandatory
  • General Insurance knowledge – e.g., General Insurance, P&C, Life, Health, Commercial - mandatory
  • Business Analysis skills, experience incl: requirements elicitation & analysis, requirements documentation, organization analysis, due diligence of existing business requirements & IT application, gap analysis, business process modeling - mandatory
  • Experience in using business analysis processes, approach, and tools - mandatory
