What the job entailsThe Project Manager is responsible for delivering business and technology change initiatives within the financial services sector. The role requires strong project delivery experience, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve successful outcomes.Key requirements / What we look for
  • Manage projects from initiation through to delivery.
  • Define scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Create and maintain project plans, status reports, and governance documentation.
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and project change requests.
  • Coordinate business, technology, and third-party teams.
  • Lead stakeholder meetings, workshops, and steering committees.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure delivery against agreed objectives.
  • Provide regular updates to sponsors and senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with agreed methodologies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Proven Project Management experience within a consultancy or financial services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Experience managing project budgets, resources, and delivery plans.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Strong risk and issue management capabilities.
Domain Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Pensions, retail investments and/or Wealth Management is required.
  • Experience delivering projects within pensions, retirement services, investment platforms, wealth management, or related financial services environments is highly desirable.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary of £100,000 - 110000K
  • Hybrid working based in Telford, Bath or London.
