System Planning Lead

Help design resilient water systems that support millions of people and protect our environment for generations to come. In this high-impact role, you’ll lead a team developing system-wide asset and capital maintenance plans that enable smart, risk-based investment decisions.

Location: Flexible across multiple operational sites across London
Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week, Monday–Friday

What You’ll Be Doing

Develop asset management plans at catchment, site, and system levels to guide investment decisions within AMP cycles
Apply risk-based approaches to prioritise capital maintenance interventions that meet operational and regulatory goals
Maintain oversight of asset performance and use lifecycle insights to inform proactive mitigation strategies
Contribute to long-term planning by surfacing emerging asset risks and shaping investment proposals for future price reviews
Lead best practice adoption in asset planning and embed lifecycle-focused thinking across cross-functional teams

To be considered for this role, you must have:

Expertise in asset management or engineering-related disciplines.
Strong leadership skills with a passion for driving strategic transformation.
Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and the environmental landscape.
Excellent communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at every level.
Proven problem solver, constantly seeking innovative solutions.
Degree-qualified or equivalent experience, professional membership a plus.
