Our client, a leading Insurance and Risk Company, are looking to take on a Project Manager for their busy portfolio. The ideal candidate will have had some experience in Insurance, as part of a strong track record in Financilal Services.  THIS ROLE IS A 100% REMOTE OPPORTNITY.

Job description:
•      Leads the project through the project life cycle to meet the project objectives within scope, budget, and schedule constraints
•      Owns communication with the Implementation Lead, IT, Finance and HR Business Partners and other project team members and in partnership with them, to stakeholders of the project regarding project status, milestone dates, performance expectations, strategic issues, and project direction
•      Works with the Portfolio Lead and Sponsor(s) to identify stakeholders and appropriate escalation paths and works within the defined channels
•      Administers, facilitates, and manages appropriate project processes and documentation – including project change management, project planning and scheduling, risk/issue management, communication, etc.
•      Monitors and controls team performance so that all processes and deliverables are completed and approved pursuant to the Project Management policy and standards
•      Interfaces with PMO to secure project resources
•      Ensures project team members understand their roles, and that role definition is appropriately leveraged to maximise performance
•      Monitors progress of the project against the plan.  Identifies and informs the Portfolio Lead of variances, inefficiencies, bottlenecks and resource conflicts
•      Manages project investment approved at the investment committees
•      Understands and manages inter-project and production/release dependencies
•      Manages integrated cross functional design, build and delivery activities
•      Coordinate the preparation / readiness of business and project teams for transition /go lives


  • Project plans baselined and signed off by the Portfolio Lead/Sponsor as appropriate
  • Processes documented and signed off
  • Functional and Technical Design Requirements signed off
  • Testing documentation and execution planned and successfully completed
  • Confirmation that transition criteria met (for each stage gate phase)
  • Delivery to the baselined milestones within agreed budget and schedule
  • Benefit realisation tracking and monitoring in place and to plan
  • Communications plan in place to support execution
  • Operational, Organisation and Technology capabilities in place
  • Go Live / transitioned processes and resources with minimal impact on BAU
  • Portfolio Lead and Project Team are up-to-date on key decisions/progress /issues/risks/dependencies
  • Cross Functional key interdependencies are managed
  • Production of high quality project artefacts using the chosen tools and techniques of Transformation and Change
