What are your main responsibilities at Deltra Group?
I'm responsible for the day-to-day running of our CRM, dealing with all development of the core systems, creating and managing all MI for Deltra Group including the Sales, Marketing, Training and Finance departments. I also work with the leadership team on the strategy of the company by working on data forecasting.
What drew you to recruitment?
I was excited to come back after being away from the industry for 7 years because of the people you work with. Everyone has so much energy, the office is always buzzing and everyone collectively is working hard to acquire their goals. The environment around you is dynamic which means your changing to meet the needs of the company. I don’t want to do the same tasks each day, I want to think outside the box and you get that in recruitment.
What do you like about working at Deltra Group?
At Deltra, I have the creative freedom to work on projects how I see fit. Julian and Minesh give me the licence to go off and bring back my recommendations, which they listen to which is very important to me. Everyone here respects what I am doing and they buy into the changes I want to introduce. The introduction of Cloud has a brought a whole new dimension to the use and presentation of data and even with 10 years in the field, I am still learning and that’s what is exciting. Outside of work, Deltra’s monthly socials, Friday drinks and breakfasts are something I really enjoy and appreciate. Your colleagues very quickly become your friends here.
What are your three favourite things to do when you’re not at work?
I keep fit I play football 2-3 times a week. I enjoy playing sports and you trick your brain to not think you’re getting tired and just keep going. For my sins, I am an Arsenal Fan, so I go to many live games a year and have forced all my family to be Arsenal fans too. When they lose, I get teased about it more from my family than rival fans. I also a huge Game of Thrones fan- (the saying ‘Winter is coming’ will never be the same) and I love Marvel films too. I've even made my other half watch all of them with me.
What is your personal motto?
Noel Gallagher has a saying which I live by “You work to live not live to work”. I am professional and highly committed to my career, but fundamentally I work to enjoy my life. You only have one and it's best you live it without having to be at an office or on a laptop every day till 10 pm.
