At Deltra Group, we love to see our team succeed and reach their career goals, whatever they might be. We’re delighted to announce that our senior consultant’s Will Shellard and Josh Carter-White have both been promoted to managers. Having both been promoted to senior consultants earlier this year, it’s great to see them continue to reach new heights and progress further.

Will, who is now manager of our Travel and Hospitality division, joined Deltra Group four years ago as a graduate, fresh out of university. Despite having no prior recruitment experience when he started, Will’s enthusiasm for learning and eagerness to go out of his comfort zone has made him a key member of the team.

When asked how he felt about his promotion to manager, Will said

 I’m chuffed to get to this point because it’s something I’ve been working towards- it’s amazing to be recognised for all the work I’ve been putting in. With the support of the leadership team, I’ve been able to gradually tick all of the boxes, whilst also having regular conversations about my personal growth and role within the business.

As an introvert, when I first started at Deltra, I wasn’t sure how I would get on talking to people on the phone. So, to now be promoted to a manager four years later is a huge achievement. As part of this new role, I’d like to explore the possibility of line management and as well as expanding my division into new areas. 

But I’d also like to help newer members of the team build their confidence, particularly those who don’t have any previous recruitment experience- just like the Deltra team did for me when I started."

Josh, on the other hand, had a far different experience when entering the recruitment industry. After several years working as a retail manager, he decided to pursue a career change to retail operations recruitment. After realising it wasn’t the right fit for him, Josh decided to give recruitment one last try or he would return to retail. Thankfully, he was introduced to Deltra Group and the rest is history.

After five and a half years of being part of the Deltra team, Josh is now managing our Technology and Telecoms division. During his time with us, he’s developed a real passion and understanding of his industry, and we admire his eagerness to continuously improve and progress.

When asked about his latest promotion and his plans for the future, Josh said

 It always feels great to have strived for something and achieved it and to be recognised for your hard work. One of the best things about Deltra is that there’s always opportunities to grow and we’re never satisfied with staying still. We often share ideas and collaborate with one another to become the best version we can be.

As a manager, I’d like to be seen not only as a top biller, but also as someone who is an expert and passionate about what they do. I’ve always liked Deltra’s approachability and their relationship building process and that’s something I intend to continue in this new role. I strongly believe that you get out what you put in and if you help others, others will help you. That’s what I feel is the best way to build a strong team."

We’re thrilled that Josh and Will have reached this fantastic milestone thanks to their hard work, determination and drive. We know it won’t be long before they set themselves even more exciting goals and we will continue to give them our full encouragement and support.
