Location: Hybrid (London)

Day rate: £800 - £1000 per day outside of IR35

As technology, data and change become increasingly central to future growth, they are seeking an exceptional Director of Technology, Data & Transformation to shape and lead this agenda across the business.This is a career-defining opportunity for a commercially minded leader who combines strategic vision with the ability to deliver tangible outcomes. Reporting to the executive leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving organisational change, modernising technology capabilities, enhancing the use of data and building the foundations required to support long-term growth.The successful candidate will be equally comfortable developing strategy, influencing senior stakeholders and leading the execution of complex change initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Define and deliver a technology, data and transformation strategy aligned to business objectives.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the executive team on technology investment, innovation and organisational change.
• Develop a roadmap that improves business performance, operational efficiency and customer experience.

Technology Leadership

• Lead the ongoing evolution of the organisation's technology landscape.
• Ensure systems, platforms and infrastructure remain secure, scalable and fit for purpose.
• Drive technology modernisation initiatives and identify opportunities to simplify and optimise operations.
• Oversee relationships with key technology partners and suppliers.

Data & Insight

• Establish a clear data strategy that improves decision-making across the business.
• Enhance data governance, quality and reporting capabilities.
• Promote a culture where data and insight support commercial and operational decisions.
• Drive the development of business intelligence and analytics capabilities.

Transformation & Change

• Lead cross-functional transformation programmes from inception through to successful delivery.
• Build organisational capability to manage and embed change effectively.
• Ensure transformation initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes and return on investment.
• Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence across the organisation.

Leadership & Culture

• Develop and lead high-performing technology, data and transformation teams.
• Foster a collaborative culture focused on accountability, innovation and delivery.
• Build strong relationships across all areas of the business to ensure alignment and engagement.

About You
You will be an experienced leader with a proven track record of delivering business transformation through technology and data.You are likely to bring:

• Experience leading technology, data, digital or transformation functions.
• A strong track record of delivering large-scale business change and transformation programmes.
• The ability to translate business strategy into practical technology and data solutions.
• Experience building credibility and influencing stakeholders at Executive and Board level.
• Strong commercial awareness and a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A pragmatic, hands-on approach combined with strategic thinking.

Desirable Experience

• Experience within growing, mid-sized or private equity-backed organisations.
• Exposure to multi-site, customer-facing or operationally complex environments.
• Experience modernising legacy technology environments whilst maintaining business continuity.
• A background in building technology, data or transformation capabilities through periods of organisational growth and change.
