Senior Project Manager

London 90K - 100K Permanent

Our client, a large legal operation, is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their Change function.This is a strategic role responsible for implementing and executing mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures

Key Responsibilities:

Own and drive the end-to-end transaction work plan from diligence through to signing, closing, and Day 1 readiness.
Coordinate cross-functional diligence across Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Risk, and Operations, managing risks, inter-dependencies, and critical path activities.
Manage external advisors (legal, financial, tax) and ensure conditions precedent and closing requirements are met.
Define Day 1 readiness plans and develop a structured handover to functional leads for ongoing integration delivery.
Align and report to senior stakeholders on transaction status, risks, and readiness throughout the deal life-cycle.
Ensure compliance with applicable European regulations, including competition, GDPR, and employment law requirements.

Requirements:

Demonstrable experience in M&A in either legal for professional services backgrounds
Proven track record of managing cross-border European transactions end-to-end.
Strong project management capability with structured methodology experience (e.g. Prince2, PMP).
Financially literate, with the ability to interrogate business cases and synergy analyses.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at senior level.
