Karen Lee is a utilities leader and independent adviser with over 35 years’ experience across the UK energy and water sectors. She combines board-level governance with expertise in regulatory change and operational delivery.
Karen advises utilities and infrastructure organisations on strategy, smart metering, performance assurance and industry code governance. She helped establish the first Funded Data as a Service company within the UK water sector. Previously, she held leadership roles at Expleo Group and ESG Global, where she was Professional Services Director.
Karen served for six years as a Non-Executive Director of the Smart Energy Code Company, representing smaller suppliers on the SEC Panel. She has also held elected and appointed roles on the REC Performance Assurance Board and Ofgem’s Switching Programme. She mentors through the Women’s Utilities Network and facilitates industry dialogue between government, regulators and market participants.
