Project Manager

I am working with a Financial Services business who are looking for a Project Managers to join their Change team, reporting directly into the Head of Change. It's an exciting time to be joining as they are entering the next phase of their journey looking at how they change the face of the pensions industry.

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following as part of their role (this list is not exhaustive):

  • Work with the management team to determine project needs, developing and maintaining a detailed project plan
  • Effectively manage project scope, cost and timelines to agreed business objectives
  • Work cross functionally to deliver the business objectives agreed
  • Provide status reports to the Project Sponsor, Business Owner and Steering Committees
  • Manage co-ordination of the partners and working groups engaged in project work
  • Deliver best practice project management methodology supporting both waterfall and agile delivery approaches
  • Ensure the company fulfils its obligations and is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), The Pensions Regulator and Financial Conduct Authority regulations

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for developing a definition of the project, in conjunction with the Project Sponsor/Business Owner. You will manage the work, plan ahead, allocate and utilise resources in an efficient manner and maintain a co-operative, motivated and successful team.

Communication and Relationships

You will be an excellent communicator as well as a team player working closely with our Head of Change as well as key stakeholders in the business. It's essential that you are able to comprehend detailed aspects of our business and that you can communicate these in a clear and straightforward manner.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Recognised Project Management Qualification
  • Financial Services experience
  • Self-starter who is hands on and takes responsibility for own deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent management and leadership skills
  • Highly organised, with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Results and target focused
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Understanding of pensions Auto Enrolment regulations
